About Learning with Care
My name is Carrie Wheeler and I am a member of the Ontario College of Teachers. I provide tutoring lessons in Literacy and Mathematics for children grades K – 6 in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The lessons are tailored to the unique needs of each child to provide them with individualized support for their learning.
Hours
Tutoring time slots will be hourly and fall between the hours of 5:00pm – 8:00pm. To set up regular tutoring lessons, please contact me to find an available time/day of the week that works best for your family.

Policies
Payment
Invoices are sent home on the last week of the month along with a progress report. Please let me know who you would like invoices and receipts made out to. Usually families pay me via e-transfer. If you prefer a different method of payment, please let me know and we can work something out that works best for everyone. Payment will not be expected until after you have received your invoice for the month. They can be made as late as the end of the first week of the month after the month of lessons (ie: payment for January can be as late as the first Friday in February).
Illness/Holidays
Should your child fall ill, or the family has a holiday and your child is unable to make it to a tutoring lesson, I will do my best to work with you to have a “make up” lesson on a different day that week or the week after instead. Regardless, payment for the full amount for the lesson will be expected. Should I fall ill or have holidays at a time when your child is expected for a lesson, I will give you as much notice as I can, and there will be NO fees for that date. It will be up to you if you would like to have a “make up” lesson or not for dates that I am unavailable to teach.
Ending Services
When we get to the point where you feel that your family is no longer in need of my tutoring services, I require 2 weeks written notice.
